Digital Surveying is a South African subsurface evaluation company. We position boreholes, log them with a calibrated wireline fleet, and interpret the results for mining, infrastructure, water and environmental clients across Africa and beyond.
Who we are
Digital Surveying provides borehole directional survey (Digi-Surv™), wireline geophysical logging (the Digi-Log™ streams Petro-Log™, Tech-Log™, Hydro-Log™ and Enviro-Log™), integrated interpretation (Synthesis™), petrophysics and data science, and supported directional survey and core orientation products. Corporate office, products and technical support in Midrand, field operations from Carletonville in South Africa, Tarkwa in Ghana and Kitwe in Zambia.
What drives us is close collaboration with every stakeholder to support evidence-based, informed decision-making throughout the project lifecycle.

How we work
Define
Decision objectives, coordinate system, borehole conditions, target parameters and acceptance criteria.
Position
Survey collar, alignment and trajectory so every measurement is placed correctly in 3D space.
Acquire
Deploy the selected Digi-Log suite with calibration, depth control, field repeats and borehole-condition checks.
Integrate
Depth-match and combine survey, image, petrophysical, geotechnical, hydrogeological and environmental datasets.
Deliver
Issue QA/QC evidence, processed logs, interpretations, models and integration-ready answer products.

Wireline logging engineers and survey technicians running day and night shifts from Carletonville, Tarkwa and Kitwe, mobilised to sites across Africa, the Middle East and Asia.
Petrophysicists and data scientists
The team that reduces, validates and interprets every dataset: petrophysics, structural interpretation, hydrogeology, lithology blocking and machine learning classification.
Technical support and training
Based in Midrand, supporting Axis, Hexagon and Veracio survey and orientation tools with training, calibration, repairs and advice on which tool suits which setup.
