What an Enviro-Log visit records
In an age of increasing environmental concern, the ability to quickly and routinely acquire calibrated, repeatable datasets from monitoring wells has become imperative. Enviro-Log combines petrophysical and hydrological logging so that subsurface conditions around a site are interpreted from measurement, not inference.

Every tool is calibrated and every run is QA'd, so that a change between surveys is a change in the ground, not in the instrument. Calibration evidence and repeatability checks are issued with every dataset for licence and audit files.
Enviro-Log is usually paired with Hydro-Log™ for the baseline aquifer model and with Digi-Surv™ so that every monitoring well is positioned in the site model.
Enviro-Log™ questions
How often should monitoring wells be logged?
A baseline before the facility is commissioned, then at a frequency set by the licence conditions and the risk profile of the facility. Annual logging is common for tailings and waste facilities; quarterly logging is typical during active remediation.
What is the difference between Enviro-Log and Hydro-Log?
Hydro-Log characterises the aquifer for water and excavation planning. Enviro-Log monitors the aquifer and the infrastructure around it over time. Many programmes start with Hydro-Log for the baseline and continue with Enviro-Log for the life of the facility.
Do the logging tools work in cased monitoring wells?
Some do. Natural gamma, temperature, fluid conductivity and certain nuclear tools read through PVC casing, and imaging tools inspect the casing itself. Resistivity and most contact tools need open hole. Tell us the completion and we will select the suite.
Can the data support an environmental authorisation or audit?
Yes. Every run is issued with calibration evidence and QA/QC records, so the datasets are defensible in licence applications, audits and regulatory reporting.
What does Enviro-Log detect around a tailings facility?
Changes in fluid conductivity and temperature that indicate seepage, preferential flow paths in the foundation, connectivity between aquifer zones, and the condition of the monitoring wells themselves.
